Install Guide

These are the steps you'll need to carry out to complete your box installation. To start the installation, click here

  1. 1.

    Locate your car battery

If you don't know where your car battery is already, check your manufacturers handbook as it should tell you where it is.

Generally speaking, you'll find the battery located under the bonnet near the main fuse box.

  2. 2.

    Clean the area

Find a suitable area on the battery where the box can be mounted and clean well with the wipe included with your box. Ideally the box should be mounted on a horizontal surface such as the area between the battery terminals. Some batteries have a cover over over them, make sure you remove this first.

The cloth contains alcohol so the cleaned surface will dry quickly.

  3. 3.

Stick the box to the surface

Remove the red sticker from the bottom of the box and stick the box to the cleaned, dry surface. Please don't nail or screw anything in to the box or battery as this may lead to a battery leak or risk of electrocution.

  4. 4.

    Connect the cables

Loosen the battery nuts just enough to allow the box cables to fit, do not remove the nut fully. First connect the black cable to the negative (-) pole and then the RED cable to the positive (+) pole.

If the LED on the box starts to flash, you've successfully installed your box.

Tighten the battery nuts again and replace any covers that were removed.

Like changing a car battery, installing the box can sometimes reset your car radio, if your radio asks for an unlock code, check your manual or speak to your local dealership

  5. 5.

Start your engine to activate the box

To complete box activation, switch on your ignition and wait for device activation to complete using this website. Make sure your car is outside and in good mobile phone reception area.
